Ordering a Camp Follower Bag or Quilt…

First and foremost I would be thrilled to sew for you. I would love to sew for everyone…but since this is a one woman show I can realistically only sew for a couple people a month. I am the one who answers your emails, takes your orders, unpacks the uniforms you send, updates the website, and makes the bags and quilts. I do it all. I create a very detailed and unique product, so each piece is amazingly labor intensive. My turnaround does reflect this. I work as quickly as I can but I want you thrilled with your bag.

My other job as “Household 6” sure cuts into my sewing time these days but from time to time I will have custom bag slots available in my ETSY.com shop. I also put bags in the shop that are new designs and need to be field tested. We can consider them “testers”.

We are now settled in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. If you are local please consider stopping by to place your order in person. Just email me to set up an appointment.

So, if all the stars are aligned and I am lucky enough to sew for you, what is the procedure?

1.    You get a custom bag slot in my Etsy.com shop

2.    I send you a very detailed order form as an email attachment.

3.    You fill out the order form and email it back to me so I can answer any of your questions right at the beginning of the process. I am more than willing to help you out with fabric combinations. I know I have tons of fabric and the options can be a tad overwhelming.

4.    You send me your uniform and the patches you want on your bag.

5.    I let you know that I have your stuff and start working on your bag as soon as I can.

6.    When I am finished I will email you a picture of the bag too see if everything is OK, then I mail it out to you.

You will be able to select the fabric you want directly from the website. If you are having issues with this just let me know, and I can snap a digital picture of the fabrics you like and send it to you. This way you can see how they look together and maybe it will assist you making you decision.  I prefer doing this AFTER I have your uniform as it is very labor intensive and some fabrics look better depending on the fade of the uniform you send.

This website has my current fabric. When I run out of a particular print I will remove it. I am constantly updating my fabric collection. So check back before I start work on your bag just to make sure you don’t see something you like more.


You pay for your bag with Paypal when you order it on Etsy.com. If you want lots of additional things (wallet, diaper changing pad, lap quilt, additional bags) I will send you a separate invoice with that total. No problem.

You can check the status of your bag on my blog. I will have a list of the bags I am working on so you can keep up with the progress of your bag.
